OPP are reminding you to avoid a ticket this winter, and not parking overnight on roadways where prohibited.
Police say fines for overnight parking during the winter can range from $35 to $45, and vehicles could be impounded at the owner’s expense.
Below is a list of parking restrictions throughout Huron County:
South Huron – Overnight parking restrictions in place year-round between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Goderich – Overnight parking is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 15 to March 15.
Central Huron – Overnight parking is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 15 to April 1.
North Huron – Overnight parking is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 1 to May 1.
Huron East – Overnight parking is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 1 to April 15.
Bluewater – Overnight parking is prohibited between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 15 to April 15.
