Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says more vaccines are on the way from Pfizer.
The PM says Canada will be receiving an additional quarter of a million Covid-19 vaccine doses from the drug company next month
He says this brings Canada up to 751,000 Pfizer doses for January.
“Between the early doses we’ve already received and the shipments now scheduled, we are on track to have at least 1.2 million doses from both Pfizer and Moderna delivered by January 31st,” he said.
Today $70 million was also announced to support Red Cross Covid-19 Testing Assistance Response Teams and Red Cross Outbreak Crisis Management Teams.
Trudeau says as we deal with the 2nd wave we need their help more than ever.
