The outbreak declared at Collingwood’s Loblaws store has been declared over by the local health unit.
There were six workers with Covid-19.
An outbreak has now been declared at Villa Retirement Lodge in Midland.
Meanwhile, Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Charles Gardner, says he continues to see a “steep rise” in cases in Simcoe/Muskoka.
He reports there are 623 active cases up from 395 the week before.
There are 44 new cases in the last 24 hours and one new death.
A man from Simcoe County in the age range of 45 to 64 died at a hospital in Toronto.
The new cases include two in Collingwood and one in Wasaga Beach as well as one case in Orillia and one in Bracebridge and one in Huntsville.
So far this week, there are a total of 232 cases. Dr. Gardner says the region is on track to see the highest number of weekly cases since the start of the pandemic.
Gardner has updated the outbreak at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland.
He says there are now 24 staff and 23 patients along with one visitor who have tested positive for Covid-19 and three deaths.
Trillium Manor in Orillia now has six staff and five residents with Covid-19.
