The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) has laid 35 charges against RE/MAX North Country Realty Inc. and Ray Jarvis.
Jarvis, the broker of record in the case is facing 20 charges under the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 (REBBA) and the business is facing 15.
It was back on December 31st 2019 that the brokerage’s registrations were first suspended following concerns about shortages in its real estate trust account.
On January 24th, RECO revoked the registrations of the brokerage and Jarvis and later issued a Freeze Order, freezing the brokerage’s bank accounts to protect consumer deposits.
The outcomes of these matters are still pending in court.
