National Football League owners have delayed a decision on implementing a 17-game regular season for 2021.
During a teleconference call, the owners opted to push back any move on the expanded season until early in 2021.
The NFL and the players’ union agreed during collective bargaining talks earlier this year to add 1 regular-season game to the schedule, but not before next season.

National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman states the league may have to use a modified “bubble” model depending on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in various markets.
During a virtual panel discussion at the World Hockey Forum in Moscow, Bettman noted some NHL clubs can’t operate in their current buildings and thus will have to move them somewhere else to play

Two people are facing charges of fraud after an investigation into the theft of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia from Walter Gretzky’s.
A 3-month probe into the theft also uncovered an alleged fraud involving a Gretzky hockey stick.
Police in Brantford announced they arrested a 58-year-old Oakville, Ont., man and a 58-year-old Brockville woman,
The arrests came after an investigation following the theft of approximately US$500,000 worth of memorabilia
