Clearview Township is getting some money from the Ontario Government as part of phase two of the Safe Restart Agreement.
Clearview is getting a payment of $77,000 to address continued COVID-19 operating costs and pressures, as well as up to $36,225 in support of Clearview Public Transit.
The funds have been allocated based on the proportion of COVID-19 cases in the municipality’s health unit and the number of households within the municipality. As with phase one, detailed reporting on how the funds are used is to be provided to the Ontario Government in March 2021.
Mayor Doug Measures is thankful for the continued assistance, “the partnership of the provincial government in our battle against COVID-19 is encouraging. This continued financial assistance will help support our community during these challenging times”.
