If you know a student with environmental interests in Lake Huron, they could be eligible for a scholarship from the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation.
Applications are now being accepted for the LHCCC’s “Geoff Peach Memorial Scholarship Fund.”
Up to $1,500 is available for Masters and PhD students with conservation and environmental research interests along Lake Huron on topics such as: Biodiversity, Coastal Processes, Dune Conservation, Water Quality, or Plastic Pollution.
The scholarship is named after former Coastal Resource Manager Geoff Peach, who died of cancer in 2017 at the age of 54.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is January 30th, and you can find the application link here.
