Lee Manor long term care home in Owen Sound is now in Covid-19 outbreak.
It’s due to a confirmed positive Covid-19 test in a staff member.
The staff member had been working on 2nd Floor North and currently, all staff and residents in the affected home area are being tested.
Testing may also be expanded to all residents and staff based on the advice the Manor receives from Public Health.
Grey Bruce Public Health reports that they are working with the case in question and the Manor to identify others, both in and out of the work environment who may have been exposed to determine their risk level.
The following precautions are now in place:
Residents of the 2nd Floor North are isolating, and staff are dedicated to the home area.
All general visits (in-home, outdoor and window) are being suspended. If you had a visit scheduled, please consider it cancelled. Virtual visits can still be arranged through www.Grey.ca.
The Designated Care Partner Program (DCP) continues but is limited to one DCP per resident at a time. DCPs continue to require a negative COVID test within the past 14 days.
The Manor reports that they take all outbreaks at the home seriously, and they are committed to keeping residents, families and the public informed throughout the outbreak.
If you require additional information, you can contact the home at 519-376-4420.
