
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported seven new Covid cases in the region Wednesday.
According to Public Health, four people from Southgate, as well as residents of Brockton, Grey Highlands and Blue Mountains tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says four of the new cases are from only one household. At least one other is a close contact of a previouly confirmed case already in self-isolation.
The active case load in the region remained steady at 26, as there were also seven additional recoveries Wednesday. Three people are currently hospitalized in the area due to the virus.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says there are no outbreaks at any long-term care or retirement homes, schools or daycares in the region.
