The United Way of Perth-Huron has reached the halfway point of their 2020 annual fundraising target.
Officials with the United Way celebrated the milestone with the lighting of the 50 per cent marker at the organization’s thermometer in Stratford.
A $6,675 donation from a group of realtors helped put the UWPH at the halfway mark, with the goal to raise $1.76 million.
A key part of the 2020 UWPH annual campaign is an effort to continue raising money for the Urgent Needs Fund for Individuals (UNFI).
Started during the pandemic, the UNFI supports local residents in a time of crisis by helping with essentials like rent, groceries and medication.
