Canada Post has confirmed there is one staff at the Wasaga Beach post office with Covid-19.
A Media Relations Spokesperson, Nicole Lecompte, tells us that last Thursday (December 3) they were notified that one of their employees at the Mosley Street location tested positive for COVID-19.
Their last day of work was on November 29.
Canada Post says while at work, the employee followed physical distancing measures, wore personal protective equipment and used hand sanitizer.
It says it is following the guidance of public health in informing employees, supporting contact tracing and conducting a sanitization of the affected areas of the post office.
Canada Post says the post office was closed early Friday and is operating on reduced hours today because of some non COVID-related staffing issues.
Reduced hours will continue from now until sometime into the New Year.
