More money is being made available for Canadian small businesses.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced the government is expanding the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) starting today giving eligible small businesses affected by the pandemic access up to $20,000 in loan funding on top of the $40,000 they can already access.
“And again, $10,000 of this additional financing will be forgivable if repaid by the end of 2022,” he said.
Today Trudeau also announced that $1.8 million will help fund 12 research teams who will work with long term care organizations to study Covid-19 measures in place in the hopes of improving them where possible.
Update for business owners: If your business has been hit hard by the pandemic, you can now access another loan through the Canada Emergency Business Account – this one up to $20,000. That’s on top of the $40,000 already available. Click here to apply: https://t.co/FZqA5CXV58
