The SIU has determined no criminal charges are warranted against police, following an arrest in Barrie.
Police say on June 29, a 20-year-old man reportedly suffered a fracture of the left foot in and around the time of his arrest.
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to believe that the arresting officer committed a criminal offence in connection with the man’s arrest and injury.
As a result, the investigation has been terminated.
