Police across the province are reminding motorists of the consequences of getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol and drugs as the annual OPP Festive RIDE campaign officially kicks off today.
Ontario Provincial Police says it has received more than 21,000 calls related to suspected impaired drivers so far this year and 42 people have died in collisions involving an alcohol or drug-impaired driver.
The seasonal campaign runs until Jan. 3rd.
