The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre walking program will reopen to the public on a reduced schedule next week.
A release from the City says starting Tuesday, December 1st, the program will operate Monday to Friday with three timeless each day:
8:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m.
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The City says the reopening is being made possible through a donation made by several members of the local business community.
In a statement, Mayor Ian Boddy, “The City is pleased to welcome walkers back into the Bayshore Community Centre.
We recognize activity as a key component to maintaining mental health as the colder weather sets in. We wish to thank the generous group of sponsors that have helped to make this possible, as well as the Grey Bruce Health Services for their
ongoing cooperation.”
Walkers are required to pre-register and complete a COVID-19 screening form before entering the facility. Participants will be required to pay close attention to posted guidelines. Registration is now open and can be completed on the City’s Website or
by calling 519-376-4440 ext. 1255.
