Some upgrades are coming to the Clinton Public Hospital.
Officials with Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) says the Clinton Public Hospital site will be undergoing renovations to upgrade the Operating Rooms and Medical Device Reprocessing Department.
Hospital officials say the upgrades are possible because of support from the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation.
To make these upgrades, the operating rooms will be closed for approximately twelve weeks, starting December 7th, 2020.
Surgeries scheduled for Clinton will take place in Stratford during that time.
The MDRD, which is the department responsible for decontaminating, high level disinfecting, sterilizing and organizing medical devices, will be relocated to the basement of the hospital and will focus exclusively on endoscopy reprocessing in the newly renovated space.
The total cost of this project is estimated to be $607 thousand, with the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation setting a goal to fully fund the project.
