The Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed 12 new Covid cases in the region on Wednesday.
According to Public Health, seven Arran-Elderslie residents, two people from Kincardine, one person from Owen Sound and one from Hanover tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says six of the 12 new cases are from one household.
The Health Unit also reported 10 additional recoveries Wednesday, which slightly outpaced new infections to increase the region’s active known cases to 49.
Three people are now hospitalized due to the virus.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Grey Bruce does not have any outbreaks at long-term care or retirement homes, schools or daycares.
