Three new cases of COVID-19 were reported Monday in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says one is in the Town of the Blue Mountains and two are in Southgate.
There are 50 confirmed active cases in the region.
Public Health says there are also eight active probable cases. (Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but high-risk contacts of an active case, and also symptomatic)
They say there are 280 High Risk Contacts associated with the active cases. Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says, “It takes a tremendous amount of effort to manage this number of high risk contacts. This number will keep increasing, unless we limit, starting today, our unprotected encounters with all people outside of our own households.”
One case is currently hospitalized in Grey Bruce. No one has died locally from the virus.
There are no outbreaks in long-term care homes, retirement homes, schools or daycares in Grey Bruce.
