A 27-year-old Tay man faces charges after he allegedly fled from police in Midland.
OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 93 last night.
The driver then pulled into a parking lot and spoke with police, but didn’t provide them with any identification.
Police say the verbal information he provided was misleading and they arrested him, but he struggled free and fled on foot.
He was caught a short distance away.
At the OPP detachment, police say they discovered he had an amount of cocaine and was also bound by court orders prohibiting him from driving or possessing a bank card.
He’s now facing several charges including cocaine possession, obstructing a police officer and operating a vehicle while prohibited.
The suspect is being held for a bail hearing today.
