There are still a few power outages this morning, following a massive wind storm that caused damage across the province.
Hydro One crews have restored power to 370,000 customers affected by the wind storm that started Sunday in southern and central Ontario.
As the most significant storm since May 2018, additional crews and neighbouring utilities are assisting in the hardest hit areas.
Severe high winds resulted in approximately 400 broken poles in addition to downed trees on lines.
Meanwhile, Elexicon Energy said yesterday that its crews restored power to more than 10,000 homes and businesses following Sunday’s severe windstorm.
Power restoration efforts continue in Gravenhurst, where crews and forestry workers are clearing trees from powerlines, replacing broken poles and addressing damaged equipment.
Lakeland Power says crews continue to work at restoring power Sundridge, Magnetawan, Bracebridge and Burk‘s Falls.
Riverside PS In Huntsville, and Muskoka Falls Public School are going to reopen today, after being closed on Monday due to a power outage.
