Hundreds of thousands of people are without power, after high winds moved through our area, blowing down trees and power lines across the region.
HydroOne said at one point in the evening that it was dealing with outages caused by high winds affecting over 104,000 customers.
Environment Canada issued a weather alert on Sunday calling for winds of up to 80 kilometres per hour.
Close to 10,000 Alectra customers are also without electricity in Barrie and surrounding areas, while multiple power outages have been reported by Elexicon Energy, Hydro One and Lakeland Power, affecting customers across Muskoka.
