Provincial Police are looking for assistance in identifying suspects after extensive damage was discovered at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre.
Grey Bruce OPP say they were dispatched to the mischief at the arena and community centre on Collingwood Street West on Monday morning.
Municipal staff reported that sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 and 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, an unknown person or persons accessed the roof of the arena and caused significant damage, throwing a hood ventilation system off the roof which smashed on the ground below. Two roof lights were also damaged.
Police say the initial damage estimate is about $80,000.
Grey Bruce OPP is asking anyone with information that can assist in locating who is responsible for this damage to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
