A drug investigation in Orillia has resulted in an arrest.
Police say a search warrant was executed at a residence on Atherley Road in Orillia, where officers seized a large quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, cash and a knife.
Three men inside the apartment were taken into custody, but only one was charged.
The OPP says Jaden WALDEN, age 19, of Brampton, Ontario, has been charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, contrary to Section 88 of the Criminal Code
The accused was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is set to appear on December 22, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
Investigators determined that the two other men arrested were not involved and they were released unconditionally.
