Shelburne Council, community residents and stakeholders met with Ontario Junior Super League President Dwayne McKillop Thursday via Zoom Conference Call.
As a result of the session, the majority of the Centre Dufferin Rec Complex Board Members who were in attendance voted not to proceed with hosting the OJSL in Shelburne.
The 9 team hockey league had planned to use the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex as a hub for their entire season and, in fact, had made a financial payment on the contract that had been previously agreed to between the league and the town.
Fred Wallace spoke with Dwayne McKillop to get his assessment of the meeting and the decision.
