The Province will invest over half a million dollars to help veterans and reservists find a second career in the construction industry.
Premier Doug Ford says $511,100 will help evaluate the skills that 180 military veterans and reservists already have and will match them with good-paying jobs as they return to civilian life.
“Our veterans deserve a chance to access a good-paying career in the skilled trades and we will need them and all of our skilled trades workers as we continue to rebuild this Province,” said Ford.
The initiative will be administered by non-profit group Helmets to Hardhats.
Ford says our veterans deserve our gratitude and respect.
