Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list yesterday.
The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for players who either test positive or have been in close contact with an infected person.
The Lions announced Stafford’s status yesterday after finishing practice.

NBA Dec 22nd ?
According to reports, the National Basketball Association will open next season on December 22nd.
The NBA’s board of governors and players’ association will hold separate meetings today which are anticipated to approve a reduced 72-game schedule,
A December 22nd start would include Christmas Day games on television and would create a schedule that finishes before the Summer Olympics in mid-July.
The belief is the December 22nd start is worth between $500 million and $1 billion in short- and long-term revenues.
Ski Scare
Alpine Canada is sending some of its teams home amid growing concerns over COVID-19 at their training centre in Switzerland.
In a statement Wednesday, Alpine Canada confirmed that athletes would be returning to Canada due to rising numbers of the virus in Europe.
A report Wednesday stated multiple members of the ski cross team had contracted the virus, including one who was seriously ill.
