Rosseau Lake College is expressing devastation following the death of their Head of School Robert Carreau.
In a Facebook post, the school says Carreau died Monday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while he was out on a run.
OPP say the collision happened on Highway 141 west of Rosseau in Seguin Township at 6:30 am.
“Rosseau Lake College is devastated by the loss of our Head of School, Robert Carreau early this morning,” reads the college’s FB post. “He was out for a morning run and was struck by a vehicle. Our hearts and prayers are with his family. We are taking care of each other on campus today but are also here for the greater RLC community of alumni, parents and friends. We will be in touch soon.”
Police say a silver four-door sports utility vehicle was travelling westbound on the highway when it collided with Carreau, who was 43 years old.
The highway remains closed while police continue their investigation.
