A Paisley woman has won some big bucks playing a lottery scratch ticket.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Linda McCleery recently collected a $75,000 top prize on the game Instant UNO.
McCleery, 61, says she visited the store to buy some licorice after a tough day, but there wasn’t any available. She decided to buy a scratch ticker instead.
She played the ticket while at the store and handed it quickly to the cashier to check.
“He told me that I was a big winner. I was so tired, I thought I was dreaming,” McCleery recalls. “I felt like I was being rewarded for being a good mom. I am so grateful. It was the most wonderful three dollars I’ve ever spent!”
McCleery plans to share her winning with family, pay some bills and save for a future vacation.
The winning ticket was sold at Midtown Foodmart on Queen Street in Paisley.
