Out of what the Town of South Bruce Peninsula calls an “abundance of caution,” Town facilities have been shut down after a number of residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
In the past five days, seven new cases have been confirmed in South Bruce Peninsula.
The Town says in a statement, “In an abundance of caution the Wiarton Arena and Sauble Beach Community Centre facilities will be closed for two weeks effective immediately. User groups are being notified of the closure. Effective immediately, members of the public will not be permitted to enter Town Hall. Please call or email staff to conduct business.”
The closures were not recommendations by Public Health.
