OPP charged two men with impaired driving in two separate incidents recently along Highway 11.
Shortly after 7 pm Sunday, police got a call from a concerned driver who was heading southbound in Severn Township.
They’d seen a small car being driven erratically and believed the driver was impaired.
Officers located the vehicle in a restaurant parking lot and found a 55-year-old Wasaga Beach man unresponsive inside.
He eventually woke up and was charged with Over 80 and impaired driving
He’s set to appear in court December 15th in Orillia.
Then later just before 11:30 pm, another concerned citizen reported a possibly impaired driver on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte.
Police received a second call about the same vehicle – it was now being driven the wrong way on the highway, heading southbound in the northbound lanes.
An 18-year-old of Orillia man was charged with Over 80 and impaired driving.
He has a December 8th court date scheduled in Orillia.
