Grey Bruce OPP have laid nine charges against a Collingwood man after a call about a suspicious vehicle in Chatsworth.
Police say on Wednesday just after 12 noon, they were called about a black car
on a rural property on Concession 2 that was seen driving around on trails on the property.
Police found the driver sleeping behind the wheel. They say he was showing signs of impairment and was arrested, after which he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert at the Wasaga Beach OPP detachment.
The 32 year old Collingwood man is charged with driving while impaired by drugs, possession of meth, possession of cocaine, five counts of failing to comply with a probation Order, possession of property obtained by crime – over $5,000, and the involved vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 7 days.
The accused was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 22, 2020.
