Four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Grey Bruce Thursday. The Health Unit says they are all in South Bruce Peninsula.
Public Health says there are currently nine active cases in the region, with 169 confirmed cases to date.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit is working with the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board to address a case of COVID-19 associated with Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton.
Public health says in its assessment, the transmission did not take place at the school.
They say there are no outbreaks, that are evidence of transmission from person to person, in any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
No bus routes of any schools are involved with this case.
Public health says Anyone identified as a contact to the confirmed case, both in and outside the school environment, will be contacted by a Public Health case manager directly within 24 hours
Public Health says anyone not contacted by them is not considered at risk and need not take any additional steps including asymptomatic testing.
