Hanover police have charged a man with assault after an incident on 7th Avenue.
Police Chief Christopher Knoll posted on Twitter Monday afternoon about the incident where officers and security staff were reportedly assaulted and spat on while trying to subdue a suspect.
Knoll says that suspect was later determined to be a carrier of a contagious disease. Knoll did not say what the disease was.
A 49 year old Hanover resident has been charged with assault.
