The Supporters’ Shield Foundation will hold meetings regarding their decision to not award their annual trophy this season which is given annually to the MLS team with the best regular season record by way of points.
Initially, the Foundation announced they would not present the award this year due to COVID-19 and a lack of fans in the stands.
Toronto FC are 1st in the MLS and were in line to capture the Supporters’ Shield for the second time in franchise history.

The 2021 World Junior Hockey Tournament will start on Christmas Day.
Canada will play their opening match on Boxing Day against Germany.
Along with the Germans, Canada will also play Slovakia, Switzerland and Finland in the preliminary round.
All 28 tournament games are being held at Edmonton’s Rogers Place with no fans expected to be in attendance.
Last year, Canada, with Owen Sound Attack forward Aidan Dudas from Parry Sound on the squad, won the Gold Medal in the Czech Republic.
