The City of Orillia is offering drop-in programs starting today, but pre-registration is required.
“We are excited to provide safe recreational opportunities to the community to help with physical and mental health during these challenging times. The new process to register for our drop-in programs will allow participants the flexibility to choose which drop-in programs they wish to attend in advance,” said Megan Visser, Recreation Program Supervisor.
Drop-in programs, such as public skating, will require pre-registration to ensure the proper contact tracing occurs and that the City remains within facility occupancy limits. Participants can register up to 24 hours in advance of the drop-in program they wish to attend. Drop-ins will be open for registration one-week in advance on the City’s SUN system.
New COVID-19 safety measures are in place for all City of Orillia recreation programs, including drop-in programs. Participants will be screened and required to sign a waiver prior to entering any municipal recreation facilities. Participants must wear a mask in common areas and are permitted to arrive only 15 minutes prior to their program.
Information regarding program safety protocols, instructions on how to sign-up for programs, drop-in times, or a FUN Pass, can be found at Orillia.ca/fun.
