Clearview Township firefighters have spent more than 24 hours on the scene of a suspicious and stubborn fire involving a large field of straw bales near Stayner.
The Township’s fire chief says the flames were first spotted Friday night along 3-4 Sideroad.
Crews spent all day Saturday picking apart the bales and extinguishing the flames, and remained on watch through Sunday morning.
The OPP is investigating.
Damage is estimated at around 5-10 thousand dollars.
