South Bruce OPP have the results of their Thanksgiving traffic initiative called Operation Impact.
Police say they charged 84 drivers.
OPP say they issued 45 speeding tickets, laid four stunt driving charges, charged one driver for not wearing a seatbelt and issued ten other driving tickets.
They say officers responded to six collisions over the weekend, one of which claimed the life of two West Grey Township children in a horse-drawn buggy.
OPP say another crash resulted in minor injuries and the other four crashes resulted in property damage.
South Bruce OPP say Operation Impact is a Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police-(CACP)-led traffic safety campaign that targets aggressive, distracted and alcohol/drug-impaired driving as well as seat belt non-compliance.
They note, the traffic safety campaign has ended, but the members of the South Bruce OPP will continue patrolling area roads to deter risky driving choices that put the safety of others at risk.
