There will be free parking in Orillia’s pay and display lots now until January 1st.
It’s to help support local businesses during the pandemic.
Councillor Ted Emond says as the cold weather sets in and local businesses are gearing up for the crucial Christmas shopping season, the City is once again offering the option in the downtown core to encourage residents and visitors to shop local.
The free customer parking has a time limit of three hours with the exception of Lot 10 (see map) that will have a time limit of five hours.
Fees for on-street and municipal permit parking lots remain in effect.
The Passport Parking app can be used to pay for on-street parking but is not required in the pay and display parking lots during the free customer parking period.
