A new businesses incubator called The Hub has been created in Huron-Kinloss.
A release from the Township says it’s a space for entrepreneurs to work together and start or expand their business. The Hub is located at 46 Queen Street, Ripley.
The idea behind it is to offer regional support to entrepreneurs and give them a space where they can nourish their ideas through networking, learning and collaboration.
The goal is to grow and sustain economic development in Huron-Kinloss and the surrounding area.
The Hub is made possible by a grant of $128,750 from the Rural Economic Development Program (RED) and $170,000 from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.
Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says “The Hub is an excellent space that entrepreneurs can utilize for business supports throughout their entrepreneurial ventures.”
The Hub will offer the following programs: Start a Business, Business Expansion and Youth Entrepreneurship, as well as online webinars.
