Owen Sound Police have charged a Meaford man with numerous offences as a result of a child luring investigation.
City Police say the man was initially arrested in early August and charged at that time with distributing images without consent.
Police say the investigation continued and a search warrant was obtained for the cellular phone of the accused.
According to police, the resulting search revealed evidence of the Meaford man’s involvement in luring an underage female into producing sexually explicit videos.
“The described content, which constitutes child pornography under the Criminal Code, was found stored on the man’s phone,” Owen Sound Police say in a release.
City Police arrested the accused again on Tuesday morning on additional charges of luring a child and possession of child pornography.
Police say the name of the accused will not be disclosed in order to protect the identity of the victims.
According to police, the accused has made a court appearance and was released from custody until his next court date.
