Grey County is putting together an advisory committee to address concerns and ideas relating to the agri-food sector.
In a media release, Grey County says the committee is seeking members with affiliations to agricultural organizations, those who represent small, medium and large scale operations, and those working in local food and agri-tourism markets.
The County says meetings will take place quarterly with members of council and Planning and Economic Development staff.
If you would like to participate, the County is accepting nominations.
The County says on it’s website, “Agriculture and food are significant sectors of Grey County’s economy and play an important role in our local culture and lifestyle.”
It explains, the committee will act as a voice of the ag community, advise County Council and coordinate and communicate between local agricultural organizations.
