The province is funding over $250 thousand in economic development projects across Huron County.
Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson says the projects in the riding will receive funding through the Rural Economic Development (RED) Program.
Among the recipients of the funding are:
– The County of Huron for business retention and expansion as well as updating the Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus resource website ($58,263).
– Huron Manufacturing Association for a youth attraction and retention program ($5,650).
The RED intake is directed at not-for-profit organizations with a mandate towards regional economic development and qualified projects would be eligible for up to 70 per cent of total costs to a maximum of $75,000 in provincial funding.
