The town of Wasaga Beach is taking action in preparation for unapproved car rally this weekend.
Mayor Nina Bifolchi says temporary speed bumps have been placed at the entrances and exits of some municipal parking lots that are expected to attract car rally activity.
Bifolchi says this is not your typical show and shine.
The OPP says it will be focusing on traffic incidents and towing and impounding all vehicles where applicable.
Mayor Bifolchi says nothing like this has come to Wasaga Beach before.
The participants in this car rally are expected to come to town tomorrow (Friday).
Partners in policing involved in #ProjectErase will be assisting in focused patrols on all routes to and in #WasagaBeach this weekend. Police will specifically target speeding, racing, drifting, take overs, gatherings and illegally modified vehicles. #DriveSafe. ^jf pic.twitter.com/UVvOCnOVUK
