The Teeswater River Bridge in Paisley was constructed in 1935 and according to county officials it is now deteriorating.
Construction on the new Teeswater River Bridge is scheduled to start in the spring of 2022.
A Class Environmental Assessment and community engagement must be completed before construction begins.
