Grey County Council will return to in-person meetings in October.
A staff report says there will be some changes to seating spacing, but it is now possible for senior staff and councillors to attend meetings in Council Chambers.
Meanwhile, councillors will still have the option to continue participating remotely, if needed.
Staff can also watch the livestream from their offices and appear in person when needed.
The public can also watch the livestream of County Council meetings on YouTube where it is also posted for viewing after the meeting ends.
Public participation in meetings will continue remotely for the time being. This means delegations will continue to use Zoom to address Committee of the Whole for now.
County councillors and some sub-committees have been meeting virtually since March 31st.
Right now, the administration building is only open to the public by appointment basis and for service at the Provincial Offenses Court counter.
If at some point in the future, the building reopens to the public while still under pandemic restrictions, staff say there would likely be a maximum, physically distanced occupancy number.
County staff say in their report, “As is current practice, staff will make every endeavor to anticipate and make arrangements for members of the public who wish to be physically present for a meeting.”
