
Two kids were taken to hospital with injuries considered life-threatening after an accident involving a horse and buggy in South Bruce yesterday.
South Bruce OPP, Mildmay firefighters and Bruce County paramedics were called to the incident along Bruce County Road 28 in former Carrick Township just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
There are minimal details about the actual crash at this time, but police say it also involved a pick-up truck. Seven people were in the buggy at the time of the collision.
Two of the buggy occupants, an 8-year-old and a 4-year-old, were airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of injuries described by police as life-threatening.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to assist the the investigation.
Bruce County Road 28 was closed for several hours between Huron-Bruce Road and Concession 2, but has since re-opened.
