The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Orillia Detachment have arrested and charged two people after a break and enter and assault in the City of Orillia.
A man was found covered in blood at Mary Street home on Saturday, when police say two suspects had broken in earlier in the day and assaulted the victim.
Police have since arrested and charged Barry BOISMIER-STILES, age 38, of Orillia, with:
Assault with a Weapon contrary to Section 267(a) of the Criminal Code;
Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence contrary to Section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;
Breach of Probation contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code; and,
Fail to Comply with Release Order contrary to Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Also charged is Nelson LEACH, 36, of Orillia, with:
Assault with a Weapon contrary to Section 267(a) of the Criminal Code; and,
Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence contrary to Section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Both of the suspects have been released on a Form 10 Undertaking and set to appear next on November 24, 2020 at the Ontario court of Justice, Orillia.
