Provincial health officials are reporting more than 200 new Covid cases in Ontario for a second straight day.
Two-hundred and thirty-two new positives are being confirmed, although more than half of those are in just two regions: Toronto (77) and Peel (67).
Health Minister Christine Elliott says on Twitter 27 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 14 having none at all.
In Grey Bruce, no new cases were reported by the health unit on Friday. There are only two active known infections in the area.
As of yesterday, there are students or staff at 13 schools and 18 childcare centres in Ontario with confirmed Covid cases. That’s according to the new website launched by the provincial government to track outbreaks in schools and licenced childcare facilities.
None of the confirmed cases at schools or daycares are in Grey Bruce.
