A Flesherton man has won over $72,000 in the lottery.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says Frederick Campbell won the POKER LOTTO ALL IN jackpot worth $67,128 on August 16th. He also won $5,000 on the instant portion of his POKER LOTTO play, bringing his total winnings to $72,128.
In a media release form the OLG, Campbell says this is his second Poker Lotto win, “The first time I ever played Poker Lotto, I won $5,000,” adding, “I never expected to win again. When the cards came up, I was cheering them on,” he laughed, “And then I saw I got the royal flush!”
The media release says the 65-year-old father and grandfather hadn’t told his family about this win yet, “I told my kids about the first $5,000 I won. They think I’m here at the OLG Prize Centre collecting that win. I’ll tell them about this on my way home,”
The retired welder plans to put his winnings in the bank and travel when he feels it’s safe.
“The feeling is hard to explain. I’ve been through a lot in life and it takes a lot for me to get excited,” says Campbell.
The winning ticket was purchased at Colpepper’s Limited on Collingwood Street in Flesherton.
