Grey Bruce OPP have arrested and charged an 18 year old man with arson in relation to the death of a teenage girl in Sauble Beach.
OPP say their investigation began on August 15th when they responded to a structure fire just before 8 in the morning at Mapleport Crescent.
Police say fire engulfed an out-building on the property, which was extinguished by South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department.
Police say the girls’ body was found inside the burned structure.
OPP charged 18 year old Taran Hibma of Owen Sound, with Manslaughter, Causing Death by Criminal Negligence, and Arson – Disregard for Life.
The accused was arrested on Wednesday, September 9th and held for a bail hearing on September 10, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
Grey Bruce OPP say they are not releasing the identity of the deceased until Post Mortem results are completed.
